We started 1991 in a basement on ”Söders höjder” in Stockholm. The idea was to create clothing collections, handmade jewelry and bags under the name Bric-a-brac. We started with unique hand-sewn garments but pretty quickly we put out small series for production in Borås. Since then, we have continued to strive for a local production, with as durable materials as possible.

A clear design language inspired by art, architecture and costume history. The driving force in the art and design movements of the 20s, the clear cuts of the 60s and the bohemian 70s has always been a great source of inspiration for us.

Old clothes, vintage finds, inherited dresses from grandma or Uncle August’s work wear. But above all, we are inspired by the feeling, colors and patterns of the fabrics we choose.

Another important part of our history is the unique relations we have with our regular customers who faithfully follow us throughout the years. We try to make our stores into natural meeting places – regardless if it is a gig, an exhibition, second-hand days or a rainy Thursday.

In our Archive we will list some catalogs from previous collections for those who want to travel back in time and discover old favorites again. Stay tuned.
